A Memorandum of Cooperation between the European University of Armenia and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Fachhochschule Dortmund), Germany ✍️🤝📄
Within the framework of the CompIIT Erasmus+ project, from March 15 to 18, 2024, the delegation of the European University of Armenia, project coordinator Gohar Avetisyan, project contact person Karine Sargsyan, and EUA Vice-rector for Administration and Finance Ashot Torosyan led by EUA Rector Heghine Bisharyan, are at Fachhochschule Dortmund, Germany, where they are participating in the consortium meeting of the above project. Within the framework of the Meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the European University of Armenia and the University of Dortmund, Germany.

From August 26 to 30, 2024, the representatives of the European University of Armenia, represented by the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Internationalization, an Associate Professor Gohar Avetisyan, Head of Quality Assurance and Reforms Department, an Associate Professor Karine Sargsyan, Lecturer of the Chair of Management, an Associate Professor Tigran Mkrtchyan, Lecturer of the Chair of Finance, an Associate Professor Gohar Avagyan, Lecturer of the Chair of Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics, an Associate Professor Tigran Shahinyan, Lecturer of the Chair of Applied Linguistics Nvard Ohanyan, participated in the 2024 International Summer Convention and Erasmus+ CompIIT Project Consortium Meeting held in Dortmund, Germany.
Within the framework of the International Summer Convention, representatives of EUA participated in intercultural training and
research talks, during which Tigran Mkrtchyan, a lecturer of the Chair of Management, presented a report on the topic of “Opportunities to apply behavioral economics to facilitate pro-environmental behavior of the society”, as well as the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Internationalization of EUA and Erasmus + CompIIT Project Coordinator, Gohar Avetisyan, presented the European University of Armenia and the one-year European professional educational programs it implements to the representatives of 25 institutions who were participating in the International Summer Convention. Within the framework of the mentioned above visit, Erasmus+ CompIIT Project coordinator Gohar Avetisyan and Project contact person Karine Sargsyan participated in 2 consortium meetings of Erasmus+ CompIIT and DAAD-funded InduTwin projects.
In the framework of the InduTwin project financed by DAAD, it was clarified that the European University of Armenia during the period of 2025 will be provided with opportunities for mobilities of both students and representatives of academic and administrative staff, the possibility of free publication of articles in the periodicals included in the SCOPUS system jointly with the representatives of the faculties of universities that are members of the consortium, and the realization of a double diploma educational program in Information Technologies.
During the consortium meeting of the Erasmus+ CompIIT Project, all of the member educational institutions, such as the European University of Armenia, Fachhochschule Dortmund, Leuven Catholic University, Goris State University and Yerevan Telecommunication Research Institute presented their interim reports and specified the steps which were implemented by them in order to prepare the interim report of the project.
Opening of the “Summer School on International Project Management 2024 in Armenia” at EUA 🌍🎓
On October 7, 2024, the opening of the “Summer School on International Project Management 2024 in Armenia” of CompIIT Erasmus+ Project took place at the EUA. Representatives from the partner institutions of the project such as Fachhochschule Dortmund, KU Leuven, Goris State University and Yerevan Telecommunication Research Institute were warmly received at our university. The Rector Mrs. Heghine Bisharyan and CompIIT Erasmus+ Project Coordinator Mrs. Gohar Avetisyan delivered welcoming speeches. Afterwards, each project consortium member presented his/her institution and touched upon the current situation of the CompIIT Erasmus+ Project Work Packages.
Then a training on “Principled Negotiation for Intercultural Communication” was conducted for the students of the European University of Armenia, French University in Armenia and Goris State University by Professor Jan Van Maele from the KU Leuven University and Nvard Ohanyan from the European University of Armenia.

🇦🇲🇪🇺 “Information sessions aimed at international innovative projects” were held at the European University of Armenia. Erasmus+ CompIIT project kick-off meeting
The kick-off meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Davit Sahakyan, Project Officer of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency Rosalba Nardelli, Rector of Goris State University Tigran Vandunts, Director of Yerevan Telecommunications Research Institute Mher Markosyan, Program Coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Armenia Lana Karlova, CompIIT Program Coordinator, Head of the EEF Mobility and Grants Department Gohar Avetisyan. The meeting was welcomed by Rector of the European University of Armenia Heghine Bisharyan, who, highly appreciating the significance and prospects of the program in the development of innovative education, wished the participants of the meeting productive work and success.
It should be recalled that on March 9 and 10, a meeting of the European University of Armenia, coordinated by the European University of Armenia, within the framework of Action 2 of the Erasmus+ program “Capacity Development in Higher Education” consisting of universities from Armenia, Germany and Belgium, took place at the European University of Armenia The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ CompIIT project “Information for International Innovation Projects” implemented jointly with the consortium. The project aims to prepare Armenian students for an international, digital and project-based working environment by developing their project implementation and communication skills and entrepreneurial capabilities.
